Le arringhe conclusive del processo a Sean “Diddy’ Combs volgono ormai al termine. Nel frattempo, Christian Combs, figlio del rapper accusato di violenza, traffico sessuale e associazione a delinquere, ha fatto uscire una canzone in difesa di suo padre. Il brano, pubblicato con lo pseudonimo di King Combs, s’intitola Diddy Free, e vede la partecipazione di Kanye West.

È inoltre disponibile sulle piattaforme di streaming Never Stop, EP composto da sette pezzi e prodotto dallo stesso West. Diddy Free è la traccia centrale e, come il titolo suggerisce, auspica la scarcerazione di Combs.

Anche l’altro figlio del produttore, Justin, ha voluto manifestare la sua vicinanza al padre, presentandosi al processo indossando una maglietta con la scritta “Free Sean Combs”. Un ufficiale del tribunale lo ha però bloccato, ricordandogli il divieto d’indossare in aula indumenti con dei messaggi. Lo stesso Ye, che parteggia apertamente per l’amico e collega, è apparso durante un’udienza, ma si è limitato a seguire la seduta plenaria attraverso uno schermo messo a disposizione in una sala di servizio.
