Pochi giorni dopo i chiacchieratissimi Golden Joystick Awards, che hanno lasciato i fan videoludici con l’amaro in bocca, la CBS ha deciso di annunciare i Gamers’ Choice Awards, simili (per non scrivere completamente uguali) ai The Game Awards. C’è puzza di rivalità in aria…
Come i gamers più patiti e appassionati sanno, dal 2014 al Microsoft Theater di Los Angeles si svolgono i The Game Awards (in realtà il primo anno si sono svolti al The Axis di Las Vegas, dettagli…NdA), una cerimonia di premiazione annuale dedicata completamente all’industria videoludica, in cui vengono presentati o mostrati in anteprima anche i nuovi prodotti che questo mercato offre.
Quest’anno però la CBS ha ben pensato di creare uno spettacolo tutto suo dedicato al mondo dei videogiochi, i Gamers’ Choice Awards, con il format di votazione online come i The Game Awards e in diretta internazionale ben tre giorni dopo questi ultimi (I TGA si svolgeranno il 6 dicembre, mentre i GCA il 9).
Sul web già si parla di aspra competizione tra le due cerimonie, guerra all’ultima sangue con l’ago della bilancia pendente sulla vittoria della CBS, soprattutto perché la casa di produzione ha dalla sua parte la sua stessa tv che sfrutterà al massimo per rendere più allettante lo spazio commerciale e attirare così tutte le industrie verso di sé.
In ogni caso i veri vincitori saranno le case videoludiche, che in questa nuova guerra di settore, vedranno i loro prodotti pubblicizzati fino all’estremo.
