Sono state annunciate oggi le candidature ai Golden Globe 2021 nel corso di un evento online presentato da Sarah Jessica Parker e Taraji P. Henson. In un anno durante il quale il cinema ha vissuto una drammatica situazione, le piattaforme di streaming sono venute fuori. Molti, infatti, i prodotti cinematografici e televisivi firmati Netflix e Prime in concorso. Soprattutto Netflix, che quest’anno ci ha regalato tante chicche come “La regina degli scacchi”, “Mank” e “The Crown”, per ricordarne alcune. La piattaforma statunitense ha ricevuto in questa edizione ben 20 nomination con i suoi film e 22 con le serie TV più popolari. Molte più delle 34 candidature totali collezionate lo scorso anno da Netflix. E’ interessante notare che tra i candidati ai Golden Globe di quest’anno ci sono anche un film italiano e una canzone di Laura Pausini.
Tra i nominati ci sarebbero anche dei prodotti firmati dalla Disney, che quest’anno ha lanciato la sua personale piattaforma streaming di grande successo, Disney+. Non solo animazione, con “Soul” che ha conquistato il pubblico di tutto il mondo, ma anche cinema. Disney è infatti in concorso con “Hamilton”, famosissimo spettacolo teatrale rilasciato sulla piattaforma la scorsa estate. Si prospetta dunque una dura sfida, che vede protagoniste non più le maggiori case di produzione cinematografiche come Universal, WarnerBros e Paramount, ma le piattaforme streaming, che ora più che mai vivono un grande periodo.
La 78esima cerimonia dei Golden Globe, che si terrà il 28 Febbraio, è organizzata dalla Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), e sarà trasmessa live da due sedi diverse per la prima volta nella storia. Amy Poehler trasmetterà dal solito luogo dove si tiene l’evento, Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, mentre Tina Fey sarà collegata dalla Rainbow Room di New York. Ma non perdiamo altro tempo, e scopriamo subito le nomination!
