I London Critics’ Circle Film Awards non hanno avuto esitazione e tra le statuette consegnate hanno conferito l’ambito premio ai film di punta di quest’anno. Una battaglia dopo l’altra è vincitore del massimo riconoscimento della serata mentre Thimotée Chalamet si aggiudica il premio come Miglior attore. Una notte speciale a Londra

I London Critics’ Circle Film Awards sono stati assegnati dai 207 membri della sezione cinema del Critics’ Circle. Quest’ultima è l’organizzazione di critici cinematografici più longeva e prestigiosa del Regno Unito. E a chi sono stati assegnati i premi dalla giuria londinese? One Battle After Another al May Fair Hotel di Londra ha vinto quattro riconoscimenti alla 46a edizione annuale dei London Critics’ Circle Film Awards.

Oltre al premio per il miglior film dell’anno, Paul Thomas Anderson è stato nominato regista dell’anno e sceneggiatore dell’anno. Sean Penn ha vinto il premio come miglior attore non protagonista. Timothée Chalamet, nel frattempo, giunge in tempo a Londra per rilasciare un paio di domande e risposte per Marty Supreme, e vince come attore dell’anno (l’ultima volta nel 2018 per “Chiamami col tuo nome“).Jessie Buckley vince come migliore attrice per Hamnet.

Da Hamnet a Wicked

Amy Madigan vince come migliore attrice non protagonista per Weapons, mentre Cynthia Erivo ha ricevuto il Derek Malcolm Award for Innovation in onore di una carriera intensa grazie a Widows, Harriet, Bad Times at the El Royale e i film Wicked). Guillermo del Toro è stato insignito dal Londom Critics’ Circle Film Awards con il premio Excellence in Film.
