Obama ha condiviso su Spotify la sua personalissima playlist dell’estate 2024 nella quale si sposano presente e passato con l’alternanza di grandi nomi del panorama e volti emergenti.

L’ex Potus ha pubblicato un post su X nel quale presenta la raccolta musicale che si apre con la super hit di Shaboozey – A Bar Song, seguita da 365 di Charli XCX e Chihiro di Billie Eilish. Presenti anche degli evergreen come If You Love Somebody Set Them Free di Sting, passando per (I Can’t Ge No) Satisfaction dei Rolling Stones arrivando a Don’t Cry Baby di Etta James. Obama a riguardo ha aggiunto sui social: “Con il volgere al termine dell’estate, voglio condividere alcune canzoni che sto ascoltando e non potrebbe non essere la mia playlist se non fosse composta da un mix eclettico. Spero che possiate scoprire qualcosa di nuovo ascoltandola”
La playlist arriva dopo il successo della scorsa estate ed è stata curata dal 44esimo Presidente USA come lo stesso aveva già confermato nel 2023. Intervistato a riguardo dal comico Hasan Minaj, ha dichiarato che si occupa dell’ascolto e della selezione dei brani. Tra gli artisti che hanno reagito alla presenza nella playlist, Shaboozey che con il singolo A Bar Song (Tipsy) è da cinque settimane in vetta alla Billboard Hot 100. L’artista ha commentato riportando il post di Barack Obama su X con un “My Man”. Anche Mooneybgg presente nella chart del politico con il duetto insieme a Morgan Wallen sulle note di Whisky Whisky, ha ringraziato il nativo di Honolulu per aver incluso il suo brano con una storia su Instagram
